Sesembo Hunting Safaris – the land God made in anger!
Sesembo Hunting Safaris – Damaraland, close to the Galton Gate on the south-western entrance of Etosha National Park. Damaraland is known for its Dolomite hills, Ovahimba tribes and the well documented desert adapted Elephants. It forms the start of the Kaokoland which is the most north-western territory of Namibia. It is a fascinating territory and many species have adapted to this rugged environment. Ruan Botha, the owner of Sesembo Hunting Safaris operates from the family farm not far away from the town called Kamanjab.
Sesembo Hunting Safaris – Bush Camp
Ruan constructed his hunting camp on a dolomite hill in a very secluded area. Your view from the camp is absolutely breathtaking. He offers three ensuite tented rooms and one of the tented chalets is with an open-air bathroom and a view over the landscape. The concept at Sesembo is not for big groups and that makes this even more attractive.
The name “Sesembo”The name Sesembo is derived from the Sesame Bush (Sesamothamnus lugardii) which is found in northern Namibia – a spectacular bush used by the local people for its medicinal value.
